Responsibilities:
Industry Research and Insights
Conduct in-depth research in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, with a particular focus on the underlying mechanisms, economic models, and technical architectures of DEX and lending protocols.
Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities to identify and understand the latest trends and technological innovations in DeFi.
Produce high-quality research reports and white papers to provide technical and market insights to the team and community.
Model Design and Optimization
Design and optimize economic incentive models for DEX and lending platforms, such as liquidity mining mechanisms, yield distribution frameworks, and market equilibrium mechanisms.
Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the performance and functionality of existing protocols.
Knowledge Sharing and Support
Offer research support and industry education to internal teams (e.g., development, marketing, and operations) to enhance their overall understanding.
Share research findings at industry conferences, forums, and community events to elevate the company’s reputation and influence in the DeFi sector.
Collaboration and Innovation
Work closely with technical and product teams to translate research findings into actionable product features or strategic plans.
Actively participate in open-source communities to drive the development of industry standards and technological progress.
Requirements:
Academic and Professional Background
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Blockchain, Computer Science, or related fields (Ph.D. preferred).
At least 2-3 years of research or hands-on experience in leading DeFi projects, particularly in DEX or lending protocols.
Professional Skills and Experience
Deep understanding of DEX platforms (e.g., Uniswap, Curve), lending protocols (e.g., Compound, Aave), and stablecoins, including their technical architecture and economic mechanisms.
Familiarity with the blockchain ecosystem and the principles of smart contracts (coding skills not required).
Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to extract key insights from large datasets.
Soft Skills
Passionate about research and enthusiastic about exploring emerging technologies and economic models.
Excellent logical reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
Self-motivated with strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
